Meet Shania
Shania Bhopa is a CIHR Vanier Scholar and level three Doctoral Global Health candidate. Her work stretches from being a knowledge translator to co-founder of The Canadian Courage Project, a charitable organization supporting youth and their animals facing structural vulnerabilities. In 2023, Shania was the recipient of the Queens Jubilee Community Impact Award, the RBC women of influence, and Valedictorian of her graduate class in the Faculty of Health Sciences. Shania is the published children's book author of Gurk & Bianca: “The great adventure of the gut and the brain on a path to mindfulness”. Shania’s research interests include primary care, patient-physician communication, and child mental health. With her extensive knowledge and experience, she also runs the WellByShania platforms on Youtube, Instagram and TikTok where she has amassed a community over 220 000 followers.
